Top Photoshop Effects You Can Learn from Photoshop Tutorials
March 5th, 2010Adobe Photoshop tutorials are helpful programs that can help you learn both basic and complex photo or image-editing skills. Whether you are working as a graphic artist or are just an amateur Photoshop user, here are some cool effects you can learn through online Photoshop tutorials:
Photoshop effects: Retro comic book effect
If you’re a fan of old comic books known for their “dotted” images and interesting dialogue boxes, you will definitely enjoy coverting your old photos into comic book images. To be able to achieve this look, you would have to duplicate a photo through your Photoshop tool. Once you’ve duplicated the image, apply a halftone pattern. Click on the Filter tab, then choose pixelate. Under the pixelate, look for the halftone option. Set the max radius to 4 and just use the default values for the rest. Click Ok, then click the Layers Palette option, and darken the image by choosing Darken within the blending mode.
Photo shop effects: Converting photos to pencil sketch image
A pencil sketch is a classic artwork that continues to attract the attention of many artists and art lovers. This is why many Photoshop users enjoy coverting images or photos into pencil sketch images. To do this, you just have to open a picture file through Photoshop. Create another copy of the background layer and invert it. You then have to change the image into a greyscale without flattening the image. Click Dodge when setting the layer mode. As the image turns to white, use the Gaussian blur-filter and set the radius between 1.5 and 5.0 pixels. Setting the radius higher than this range can result in an image that looks more like a pastel painting instead of a pencil sketch.
These Photoshop effects may seem daunting to amateur artists but with enough practice and patience, doing these effects becomes easier.

Every travel I make, I see to it that I have a remembrance of the place so I never leave my
