Photoshop Tattoo
A tattoo definitely looks cool but if you’re like me who’s afraid of needles and who thinks coolness cannot justify the pain from the process than Photoshop can help. Here’s a simple tutorial that you can do on your own to score that tattoo that you’ve been dying to place on your skin. But don’t expect that you’ll actually get a tattoo, at least you can gauge early on if a tattoo looks good on you or not.
First, open your image (choose one that shows sufficient skin to work on). Create a new layer and place an existing design that has a transparent background. You can also use the type tool if you just want a groovy text tattoo. Arrange the design whichever way you like so that it looks natural. To do that, press CNTRL + click on your tattoo design layer. Go to Select — Modify — Border. Use a Border value which commensurates to the size of your image. With the border selected, Copy and Paste the border on another layer. On the border layer/outline, select Filter — Blur — Gaussian Blur. Adjust the amount depending on the image size. Lastly, make the tattoo layer visible and decrease its opacity to make the outline standout. You can also colorize your tattoo after making the outline, go to Image — Adjustment — Hue/ Saturation and colorize the main tattoo layer. Voila, your first tattoo!
