If you are religiously inclined and you go to church every Sunday, perhaps the sight of the glass portraits of the stations of the cross is an ordinary thing to you. But for people who rarely go to churches like me, looking at those portraits give us a reviving experience. If I’m not mistaken, most of the churches in Europe have these glass art. I like the colors of the glasses and I salute the glassblowers who made them. I think the guys have good heads on their shoulders.

I know you’re itching to learn how to become a glassblower. But before that, let’s try the glass design on our photos by using Photoshop. First step is we upload the picture that we want to edit then we create two layers and blend them to “Hard Light”. For the first layer, we go to the image menu: Filter-Texture-Stained Glass while for the second layer we go to the menu: Layer-Layer Style-Blending. To put more colors on the picture, all we have to do is press Alt and adjust the blending parameter. Click the first layer and apply the menu: Filter-Blur-Radial Blur to put some light to the image. Apply some filter through the menu: Filter-Distort-Diffuse Glow or Filter-Sharpen-Unsharp Mask.

I like the stained glass design in the cathedrals and castles. They make the place look more divine.

If my memory serves me right, they also have the stained glass effect in the Goblet of fire movie.
