New York Lights In Photoshop

“New York is a very lovely city that never sleeps. I like the place because all the buildings there are filled with brightly-colored lights. Times Square, for instance, is decorated with colorful dancing lights. The Statue of Liberty is surrounded with glowing lights at night. Everyone in the place, either a local or a foreigner, is enlivened by the animated lights.” This is the first stanza on my daughter’s poem entitled I Love New York.

Personally, I like glowing lights because they’re like fires, burning and flaring to give every traveler a sort of guidance. We can also put the New York lights in our text through Photoshop. It’s actually very easy, all you need to do is follow these simple instructions: First, we create a file with black text and plain background. Follow the image menu: Layer-Flatten Image to flatten the text. Then go to Image-Adjust-Invert to invert the text color.

Proceed to Filter-Blur-Guassian blur and Filter-Stylize-Solarize to solarize the text. Go to the image menu: Image-Adjust-Auto Levels and Image-Adjust-Hue Saturation to soak the remaining color of the text. Choose any bright color for your text then press the box icon colorize. Draw the color slider to 100.

I love Time Square at night. I also love Broadway and the plays that are conducted there. I love New York too.

Can you make those neon-colored text dance or move? I mean, everything’s possible with Photoshop right?
