From the Skies to the Tree Tops

Sometimes, when we go out hiking in the mountains, we can see some patches of sky peeking out between the leaves of the tall trees surrounding us. Imagine now if you pulled out your camera and clicked away at that scene. For certain, there are bound to be distracting skies that ruin the supposedly lush greens of the trees.

So, how do we remedy that picture using Adobe Photoshop? Well, first you have to drag those skied areas with the Rectangular Marquee. Then, you can click on Select and use the Eyedropper to blur or make the skies fuzzy enough to be unidentifiable. The second thing to do after bothering with the clarity of the skies is to add on a color to disguise those areas. You can decide on a particular hue of green and fill that area with foliage. Press on Ctrl (Command) and then click on Layer 0, while keeping busy with the painting job. Even though you are not an expert in designing, you have to keep the strokes short and in tune with the original shot. Do the color brushing and experiment with different hues until the area is covered, but of course, it is best that the image looks like it was never modified.
