Creating an Aurora with your Photoshop

I just love using my Adobe Photoshop program in my hi-tech personal computer. The reason for this is that it allows me to be more creative with images and photos saved in my PC. Sometimes, I download images off the internet and I have fun with it.

There was one time when I got a picture of my favorite TV show and added my favorite photograph with the rest of the cast. I am telling you, it was so much fun to do. Aside from that, it looked so real that most of my friends thought I had a picture taken with them. Even though doing stuff to images can be fun, it can get boring at times. That is the reason why I explored some other things the Photoshop can do. After many trials, I found out that I can make cute and colorful auroras with the use of basic abstract patterns on my Photoshop.

To start doing your very own aurora, you should begin with the use of your gradient tool. This depends on the Photoshop version you have. When you have the 3.0x version, set the background and foreground to the color you desire. You have the option of using preinstalled gradients when you have the Photoshop 4 version.

The next thing to do is to create a radial, gradient, or linear pattern. It is up to you to choose the pattern you love most. After that, select the difference mode from your gradient tool. This is the time to be really creative by making abstract patterns with the use of this tool.
