Resizing Digital Images Using Photoshop CS and CS2
The Photoshop CS and CS2 applications are widely used graphic editing tools by visual artists and graphic designers because these offer a wide variety of photo editing features. A simple yet useful function is the ability to resize digital images without distorting the images. Such distortions include the blurring and pixelating of the photos, and these usually happen by using photo editors which do not have the powerful functionality found in most versions of Photoshop.
In resizing digital images and even video-captured still images using Photoshop CS and CS2, such as reducing the dimensions of the digital image, you need to go to the Image menu in the toolbar of the program and select the Image Size submenu. Then select the Resample Image option, which would provide you with a drop down list of options. Click on the option Bicubic Sharper, which is the option of choice if you would not want the image to lose some of its sharpness.
On the other hand, enlarging a digital image poses more of a problem regarding sharpness than size reduction. But Photoshop CS and CS2 provide its users with a simple and similar method that effectively retains the sharpness of the digital images. You just need to follow the steps in the image size reduction function discussed above, but you need to select the Bicubic Smoother option instead of the Bicubic Sharper option.
